Dr Phyo Kyaw

Dr Phyo is a compassionate and experienced GP who brings a global perspective and a strong commitment to community health. He earned his medical degree (MBBS) in Burma in 2012 and has been practicing in Australia since 2016, with extensive experience in rural and regional settings including Rockhampton, Gladstone, and Hamilton.

In 2021, Dr Phyo became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) after completing his training in Hamilton. He also holds a Diploma in Child Health through the Sydney Children’s Health Network, reflecting his ongoing dedication to high-quality paediatric care.

Dr Phyo offers comprehensive primary care with particular interests in:

• Chronic disease management
• Men’s and women’s health
• Contraceptive advice (including Implanon insertion and removal)
• Paediatrics
• Skin checks and minor surgical procedures
• Emergency and urgent care medicine

He also works as an Urgent Care Physician at the Ballarat Urgent Care Clinic, where he manages a wide range of acute medical presentations. Beyond clinical work, Dr Phyo is passionate about teaching and actively contributes to the education and supervision of medical students and junior doctors.
